About Alok Kumar

Seven years of SEO experience across technical systems, content, authority and AI search.

I am an SEO specialist based in Gurugram, India. I help teams understand search problems, choose practical priorities and improve visibility across traditional and AI-assisted search.

Professional story

What keeps me interested in SEO is the challenge of turning complex signals into clear decisions.

I was drawn to SEO because it sits at the intersection of technology, content, data and human behavior. A ranking change rarely has one simple explanation. The work rewards curiosity, careful investigation and the ability to connect details that different teams may see separately.

I started working in SEO in 2019 with keyword research, on-page optimization, backlink analysis, prospecting, outreach and performance reporting. That hands-on foundation taught me how technical access, page quality, internal relationships and external authority influence one another.

My career later expanded into independent consulting, technology-focused agency work and an in-house role. Along the way, I learned to translate search findings into actions that content, development, product and business teams can understand and implement.

Today, I work as an SEO Analyst at Great Learning. The role has strengthened my perspective on prioritization, cross-functional implementation and protecting existing organic visibility while identifying new opportunities. I was recognized with the Extra Mile Award for my contribution.

I especially enjoy problems where the visible symptom is not the real cause: important pages that are not being indexed, overlapping content that weakens intent, authority that points to the wrong destinations or reporting that cannot explain what changed.

People working with me can expect direct communication, practical recommendations and a clear distinction between verified evidence, professional judgment and ideas that still need testing.

I also study how established SEO principles extend into Google AI experiences, Bing Copilot and ChatGPT Search. I treat AI SEO, AEO and GEO as evolving extensions of strong SEO foundations, with additional questions about retrieval, source selection, citation and measurement.

Breadth of experience

What I bring to a search program.

Seven years in SEO should produce more than familiarity with technical audits. My work covers the connected disciplines required to build and protect organic visibility.

Technical investigation

I examine how crawlers discover, render and interpret a website. The work can include indexation, canonicals, sitemaps, redirects, JavaScript, Core Web Vitals, structured data and template-level quality controls.

Search strategy

I connect opportunity assessment, competitor research and prioritization to business objectives. The output should be a practical roadmap with ownership, dependencies and a clear reason for every recommendation.

Content and on-page SEO

I work with search intent, briefs, page structure, entity clarity, consolidation and internal linking. The goal is to make each page useful to its audience while giving search systems an unambiguous understanding of its purpose.

Authority development

I assess backlink profiles, qualify prospects, shape outreach and plan useful assets that deserve references. Relevance, editorial context and destination value matter more than a single third-party score.

Measurement

I use Search Console, analytics, Bing Webmaster Tools and page-level data to explain what changed. Reporting should support a decision, document limitations and distinguish meaningful progress from vanity metrics.

AI search research

I study answer structure, entity consistency, source evidence, citation observations and AI referrals. Experiments use a documented method because platform outputs vary and cannot be treated as guaranteed or fully measurable.

03

Working principles

How I make SEO recommendations useful.

Search work should be understandable, evidence-led and realistic about uncertainty. These principles shape audits, content decisions and ongoing research.

01

Evidence before confidence

Separate observed facts, reasonable interpretation and untested hypotheses.

02

Relevance before volume

Keywords, content and links should fit the real subject, audience and destination.

03

Priorities before long lists

A roadmap should explain impact, effort, dependencies, ownership and validation.

04

Learning before guarantees

Search systems change. Results need monitoring, documentation and honest limitations.

04

Professional learning

Selected credentials and recognition.

Credentials support continued learning, but practical application and measurable decision-making remain more important than certificates alone.

Award

Extra Mile Award

Professional recognition for work delivered in the current Great Learning role.

05

Independent initiatives

Learning by building, publishing and participating in the search community.

Alongside my professional roles, I have developed independent initiatives including Outreach Club and Business Cracker. These projects reflect my interest in outreach, publishing, digital business and the practical work required to turn an idea into a useful online resource.

This website is the home for my original SEO research, working frameworks and observations about AI-assisted search. Articles will explain the method behind an idea, cite reliable sources where appropriate and state limitations when the available evidence is incomplete.

If you need help investigating a search problem, planning an SEO program, strengthening authority or evaluating AI search visibility, share the website and the outcome you are trying to create.
